Heres a little information on the Fairview Fire Dept.

In 1933 the Fairview Firemen's relief association was formed by the citizens of the village of fairview. The organization was formed after the introduction of hydrants in the village. At the time there was only a need for one peice of fire apparatus in the village, so the citizens built one out of a 1934 chevy truck.
The first fire station was in a little red barn which still stands on Pheffer Drive also known as "pig alley" in the heart of the village. After the village started to become more populated the station moved into what is now the Fairview Senior Center on Ridge road. After the move into the new station house there was purchases of multiple more peices of apparatuses. In the late 1980's Fairview Fire Department then bought a house on Ridge road and built a five truck bay barn onto it, which is now our main station. The fire department also purchased land on route 5 in the township to house three more appartuses, which is now the house of one engine company, an ambulance, and the original fire apparatus from the 1930's.
At this time the Fairview Fire Department provides fire and ems services for all of Fairview Township and is also a mutual aid department for multiple west county and millcreek fire departments. The fairview Fire department houses at their main station on ridge road, one engine company, one rescue company, one ambulance, one water tender, and one brush/fire police unit.
